About Gifted Angels

Founded in 2019 by Leanne Kenny, Gifted Angels is a compassionate organization dedicated to serving communities in need. Every month, our team of committed volunteers hits the streets to deliver blessing bags, containing essential necessities such as toiletries, snacks, hygiene products, and warm clothing.

Our outreach efforts currently focus on areas where the need is greatest:

  • West Los Angeles, California
  • Downtown Vancouver & Marine Area, British Columbia
  • Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

My Why?

Growing up as a first-generation child on American soil in an immigrant family, I lived a life shaped by resilience, simplicity, and love. Under one roof, my grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins shared everything: second-hand clothing, meals of white rice, canned corn soup, eggs, and dried pulled pork. Despite having so little, we were taught to give abundantly, to be grateful, and to always extend a hand to those in need. These values were deeply instilled in me by my grandfather, a man whose compassion knew no borders. From Vietnam to our home, he spent his life tirelessly giving back, sending boxes of necessities to those who needed them most. His unwavering kindness became the foundation of my own desire to help others.

Our Monthly Outreach Schedule

At Gifted Angels, we come together every month on the 3rd Saturday to spread kindness and support to those in need, including vulnerable animals.

 

  • 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Preparation of blessing bags.
  • 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Handout to individuals and families in need.
  • 4:00 PM: Drop-off of supplies and food at local no-kill animal shelters.
